Indiana Pacers Vs Boston Celtics live match on NBA at Sunday, December 19, 2010.

Indiana Pacers celebrated wildly when they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center last month. It was business as usual when the Lakers returned the favor in Indiana. Kobe Bryant scored 25 of his 31 points in the second half to help Los Angeles beat the Pacers 109-94 on Wednesday night. The Pacers partied after Bryant missed two chances to force overtime in the closing seconds of Indiana’s 95-92 win on Nov. 28, and it didn’t sit well with the two-time defending NBA champions. “They had a real issue about it,” Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. “I think the Pacers came back and kind of celebrated in the hallways at Staples, and they remembered that, and they came back with that, ‘Let’s get after them.” The Pacers were trying to sweep the Lakers for the first time since 1992. Instead, they were dominated from the opening tip and never led. “We played with more energy, and a more focused game, and with more of a sense of urgency,” Bryant said. Pau Gasol had 28 points and eight rebounds for the Lakers, and got the best of his matchup with Roy Hibbert after going 5 for 15 with five turnovers and five fouls in the previous meeting. Lakers F Ron Artest got a mixed reaction during pregame introductions. While playing for the Pacers, Artest was suspended for 73 games and the playoffs after fighting with Detroit Pistons fans in 2004. He then requested a trade the next season. Indiana’s first offensive rebound came with 1:36 left in the first half. Cincinnati Bengals receiver Terrell Owens was in the crowd.

Boston Celtics scored 102 defeating Atlanta Hawks at 90. Kevin Garnett had 17 points and 14 rebounds—one of three Boston players with a double-double—to lead the Celtics to their 12th straight win. Paul Pierce(notes) had 15 points and 10 assists and Glen “Big Baby” Davis had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Ray Allen scored 18 points and Nate Robinson had 14 for the Celtics (21-4). Marvin Williams had a season-best 26 points and Jeff Teague scored 18 for the Hawks. Boston point guard Rajon Rondo(notes) missed the game after spraining his left ankle in Wednesday’s win at New York. He’s expected to be sidelined at least a week. Center Shaquille O’Neal was also out, missing his fourth straight game with a sore right calf.

Memphis Grizzlies Vs San Antonio Spurs Live Streaming NBA Basketball Gamecast Internet Feed Video Broadcast Soapcast Radio coverage Saturday, December 18, 2010.

Memphis Grizzlies defeated Charlotte Bobcats on a 113-80 on Wednesday night. “We were selfish on both ends,” Brown said after the Grizzlies routed his Bobcats 113-80 on Wednesday night. “We didn’t play hard. We acted like we didn’t even care. I had to get into them at halftime and beg them to play. That’s not what I’m supposed to be doing. There was no effort and no teamwork.” O.J. Mayo scored 24 points, Rudy Gay had 23 and the Grizzlies jumped to an early lead. “I thought it was a very professional game for us,” Memphis coach Lionel Hollins said. “We jumped them in the second quarter and outscored them 35-16.” Zach Randolph had 19 points and nine rebounds and Darrell Arthur finished with 10 points to help the Grizzlies run their season-best winning streak to four games. Stephen Jackson had 16 points for the Bobcats, coming off a 97-91 home victory over Toronto on Tuesday night. Tyrus Thomas had 12 and Boris Diaw and D.J. Augustin added 10 each. Augustin also had seven assists. “We just have to try and get back and forget about tonight,” guard Shaun Livingston said. The Grizzlies ended a four-game losing streak against Charlotte, handing the Bobcats their third loss in four games. Charlotte played without starting forward Gerald Wallace, the Bobcats’ second-leading scorer with a 16.7 average. He’s sidelined by a sprained left ankle. By the fourth quarter, the game turned into a Grizzlies highlight reel with one handed-alley-oop dunks, spinning, behind-the-back layups and fast-break baskets. Memphis had a 33-point lead at the midway point of the final period, and the Grizzlies got a technical foul when their bench players got caught up in the excitement and ended up too far on the floor. At that point, Hollins took out his key players, and the reserves closed out the game, part of the Memphis bench outscoring the Charlotte reserves 53-32. Commissioner David Stern addressed the media and fans before the game on subjects ranging from the ongoing labor talks and Memphis’ position as one of the league’s up-and-coming teams. He also said he expects the league to have teams in Europe within the next 10 years. Memphis’ last four-game winning streak was in January of last season. Charlotte F Boris Diaw has started 166 consecutive games since joining the Bobcats in December 2008. He’s 10 games shy of the franchise games record and eight shy of the consecutive starts mark. Memphis has held five straight opponents under 100 points. Charlotte dropped its seventh straight road game and is 3-10 away from home this season.

San Antonio Spurs committed a 113-112 win over the Denver Nuggets. One night after his step-back jumper beat Milwaukee, Manu Ginobili’s defense handed the San Antonio Spurs a 113-112 win over the Denver Nuggets. Ginobili sparked the Spurs to a big fourth-quarter lead and he drew the foul that negated Carmelo Anthony’s winning basket in San Antonio’s escape Thursday night. “I knew Carmelo was going to attack the rim,” Ginobili said. “We were not going to let him take that open shot. Antonio  made him a driver and I was in the right position. It’s my job to be there and try to draw a charge. When he jumped I knew I was going to get it because I was right outside the circle. Anthony, who led Denver with 31 points, thought he had the game-winning play, not Ginobili. “No, obviously what I think and what they called are two different things. I thought I made a great play. I took advantage of how Richard (Jefferson) was guarding, attacked. I don’t think I could’ve got a better look at it than that,” Anthony said. “It’s tough, you know, just going out there playing as hard as we played out there and to lose the game on something like that.” The bizarre finish capped a frenetic finish in which the Nuggets erased a nine-point deficit with 6 minutes left. Denver PG Chauncey Billups (wrist) missed his second straight game. The Nuggets hope he can return Saturday night against Minnesota. Spurs C DeJuan Blair returned from hyperextending his right knee Wednesday night against Milwaukee to log 14 minutes.

Phoenix Suns Vs Dallas Mavericks Live Streaming NBA Basketball Gamecast Internet Feed Video Broadcast Soapcast Radio coverage Friday, December 17, 2010.

Phoenix Suns shoot away the Minnesota Timberwolves by a 128-122 match. Frye hit seven of Phoenix’s 15 3-pointers, Nash had 19 assists and the Suns outlasted the Minnesota Timberwolves 128-122 Wednesday night to end a three-game skid. “That’s the type of team we are,” said Richardson, who scored 24 of his 29 points in the first half to break out of a shooting slump. “If we’re not playing with energy, high-fiving, smiling, helping each other out, we’re not good. When we have that energy, we’re at our best. We have to find a way to have that energy every night.” Phoenix had lost its previous three games by digging big holes. The Suns shot their way out of the losing streak, putting seven players in double figures, shooting 50 percent from the field and making seven of 11 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to pull away. Frye and Grant Hill had 21 points each, Nash hit six free throws late to finish with 11 points and Phoenix shot 15 of 27 from 3-point range overall. The undersized Suns—29th in rebounding—even crashed the boards to outrebound the NBA’s best rebounding team by seven. So what if there wasn’t much defense—by either team? When you’re scoring like that and winning, it sure is fun. “Right now, it’s the best thing that could have happened to us,” Suns coach Alvin Gentry said. “We just needed a win.” Minnesota tried to keep pace with the push-the-pace Suns. The Timberwolves just ran out of gas after playing at Golden State the night before. Minnesota shot 53 percent and got another huge game from huge power forward Kevin Love, who had 23 points and 16 rebounds despite wincing from pain after a hard fall in the first quarter. Corey Brewer had 20 points off the bench, Wesley Johnson and Michael Beasley added 17 each and Minnesota had six players in double figures. The Timberwolves just couldn’t stop Nash from penetrating or get out to Phoenix’s shooters, leading to their ninth consecutive road loss. A fan hit a halfcourt shot during a third-quarter timeout to win a 65-inch TV. Suns C Robin Lopez had 12 points and eight rebounds after missing the previous 14 games with a sprained left knee. Phoenix has scored at least 110 points in its last six games against Minnesota.

Dallas Mavericks made a magnificent win over Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. Nowitzki scored 12 of his 21 points in the final quarter, Caron Butler matched his season high with 23 points and the Dallas Mavericks got back on track with a 103-98 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night. Jason Terry added 13 points for the Mavericks, whose 12-game winning streak was snapped by the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night. Dallas-area native LaMarcus Aldridge scored 20 of his season-high 35 points in the fourth quarter and Wesley Matthews added 17 for the Blazers, who lost their third in a row. Portland rallied from a 17-point third-quarter deficit, tying it at 93 with 2:07 left on Aldridge’s reverse layup. But Nowitzki hit a 6-footer with 1:49 remaining to give Dallas the lead for good. Nowitzki had six points during an 8-2 run capped by his 19-footer with 29.9 seconds left for a 101-95 lead. He accounted for 12 of Dallas’ final 19 points, starting with a layup and a pair of free throws. “I hit two free throws, that definitely helped me get going,” Nowitzki said. “Then I was able to knock some good shots down, so just finding a way sometimes is all a shooter needs—a layup and two free throws to get going.” Terry converted two free throws with 12.7 seconds remaining for the final margin. The Mavericks wasted 25- and 20-point leads in their previous two games, rallying to beat Utah before losing to a Milwaukee team that was last in the NBA in scoring but put up 60 second-half points against Dallas. This time, Dallas was up 63-46 in the third quarter on Jason Kidd’s 3-pointer. But the Blazers later had an 11-0 run and eventually trimmed the Mavericks’ lead to 78-68 by the start of the fourth. Butler carried the offensive load with nine straight points for his team during one third-quarter stretch and scored a total of 11 in the quarter. Meanwhile, Matthews had 13 third-quarter points for Portland. Portland C Joel Przybilla was assessed a technical in the second quarter when he fouled J.J. Barea on a drive, hitting Barea in the head. Barea wasn’t injured on the play. Dallas has won 20 of the last 25 meetings between the teams. Portland won twice in Dallas last season, with Andre Miller scoring a career-high 52 points on Jan. 30. Miller had nine points Wednesday night. Portland’s 14 first-quarter points were the low for an opening quarter by the Blazers, and by a Mavs opponent this season.

New Orleans Hornets Vs San Antonio Spurs Live Streaming NBA Free Basketball Sunday Night Fantasy Telecast Internet Feed Broadcast Soapcast Radio coverage December 5, 2010.

New Orleans Hornets was defeated by New York Knickerbockers in the second quarter Friday night. During a span of less than seven minutes in the second quarter Friday night, Stoudemire did precisely that by scoring 16 of his 34 points while almost single-handedly erasing an eight-point deficit. After that, the Knicks eventually built a lead as large as 14 before taking their eighth win in nine games, 100-92. “I try to be a dominant force,” said Stoudemire, who also grabbed 10 rebounds. “With the energy I try to bring forth on the basketball court, with my communication skills and my leadership role, I try to provide some confidence and swagger to us as a team and it seems to be working well.” Trevor Ariza had a season-high 21 points for New Orleans, which was without David West because of a stomach virus. Chris Paul had 17 points and 10 assists. The Hornets (13-6) have dropped five of seven and are quickly fading back into the pack after a surprisingly strong start. First-year coach Monty Williams said his team has been getting increasingly sloppy, pointing to 19 turnovers that led to 29 Knicks points. “We have to understand the value of the ball,” Williams said. “It doesn’t make sense for a team with the ballhandlers we have to turn the ball over like that against a team that doesn’t really pressure the ball. There’s no excuse.” New York led 74-73 late in the third when Shawne Williams’ driving scoop off the glass and Raymond Felton’s floater as he was fouled ignited a 10-0 run that gave the Knicks (11-9) their first double-digit lead of the game. Wilson Chandler’s second 3 of the fourth quarter made it 92-78 with 6:02 to go and New Orleans was unable to recover. New York went 13 for 30 from 3-point range. Chandler, who scored 14, made four 3s, while Danilo Gallinari and Williams made three each. The Hornets simply couldn’t keep up with that, going 3 of 14 from deep. “We knew this was going to be a game where we could measure ourselves and see how good we could be,” Stoudemire said. “It was a big win for us, definitely a great step in the right direction. We’re really showing how good we can be.” Jason Smith made his fourth career start in place of West, who leads the Hornets in scoring with 18.8 points per game. Smith had 12 points, while Emeka Okafor had 11 points and 14 rebounds for New Orleans. Felton finished with 17 points and 13 assists for New York, hitting a pair of 3s. Gallinari and Williams each scored 13. The Hornets scored the first eight points of the game and led most of the first half, going up 28-21 when Willie Green’s basket early in the second quarter capped another 8-0 run. The Hornets were up 36-28 when Stoudemire started to take over. Mixing in a couple jumpers with an array of strong inside moves, Stoudemire scored 16 of New York’s next 19 points, tying it at 49 on a dunk. Gallinari then hit consecutive 3s to help the Knicks take a 55-53 halftime lead. New York was connecting from everywhere, and wound up shooting 47 percent (39 of 83) for the game. Paul said there wasn’t much the Hornets could do about that. “We try to keep teams out of our paint and they knocked down 3s all night long,” Paul said. “We gave up a little bit of everything. Sometimes it’s one or the other, tonight we gave up both.” This marked this first time this season in 19 games that the Hornets did not have the same starting five. … New York has won five straight meetings spanning the past two-plus seasons. The Hornets’ last win over the Knicks came in April 2008, before Mike D’Antoni became New York’s coach. … The teams will meet once more this season in New York on March 2. … Announced attendance was 14,020, and the Hornets are averaging 13,865 through 10 home games despite a strong start.

San Antonio Spurs made a magnificent win over Minnesota Timberwolves. Tim Duncan scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds to help the San Antonio Spurs rally from a 15-point deficit to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 107-101 Friday night. “It was a great fourth quarter, and our guys really hustled,” said Duncan, who scored 10 of San Antonio’s final 14 points in the first half. “We made plays and found a way to get it done. Obviously that’s not the situation we want to be in on a nightly basis but given that situation, it’s the best outcome possible.” Tony Parker and George Hill added 20 points apiece for the Spurs, who improved their NBA-best record to 16-3. Manu Ginobili had 16 and Richard Jefferson scored 15. Michael Beasley scored 28 points and Kevin Love had 25 points and 18 rebounds for Minnesota. Ginobili sank two free throws to give San Antonio the lead for good with 1:13 remaining. He made all 13 of his foul shots. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was ejected with 1:10 left in third quarter for arguing with referee Marc Davis. San Antonio held Minnesota without a field goal in the final 4:13. “That’s what good teams do,” Minnesota coach Kurt Rambis said. “Good teams have the confidence that they’re going to come back and win. They know how to dig themselves out of holes. Young teams, unfortunately, can’t figure out how to hold big leads.” Beasley made two free throws to give Minnesota a 99-95 lead, but a turnover by the Timberwolves eventually sent Hill to the line to tie it with 2:56 left in the game. Both teams were scoreless for over the next minute and a half until Ginobili went to the free throw line. “We are proud of the way we did, but are definitely not proud of the way we played for three quarters,” Ginobili said. “We’ve been doing that too much. I guess luck has been on our side lately, but we’ve got to start playing for 48.” In the third quarter, Jefferson made a 3-pointer with 2:01 to play in the third that cut Minnesota’s lead to four, but the Timberwolves answered with an 11-0 run. “Aggressiveness. We were very aggressive,” Ginobili said. “We attacked the ball. We started blitzing to try to force them to make mistakes and they did. We didn’t make five 3s to make this comeback. It was with defense.” Luke Ridnour and Corey Brewer both finished with 14 points each for Minnesota. Darko Milicic fouled out with 3:15 left, exiting the game with four points, six rebounds and four assists. The Spurs will play 11 of their remaining 14 games in 2010 at home. … Minnesota hasn’t defeated the Spurs on their homecourt since 2004 … The Timberwolves are 1-10 on the road this season.

Chicago Bulls Vs Boston Celtics Live Streaming NBA Basketball Gamecast Internet Feed Video Broadcast Soapcast Radio coverage December 3, 2010.

Chicago Bulls was defeated by Orlando Magic on December 1, 2010. Jameer Nelson scored 24 points and the Magic dominated the paint and cruised to a 107-78 victory over Chicago on Wednesday night, spoiling the Bulls debut of Boozer. “We just wanted to bring a lot of intensity,” Nelson said. “Tonight we brought it from jump ball to the end.” Nelson got no argument from Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau. “They outplayed us in every facet of the game,” Thibodeau said. Boozer played his first game of the season after missing all of Chicago’s preseason games plus the first 15 of the regular season after breaking the fifth metatarsal in his right hand in an accident at his home on Oct. 2. “We got beat, bad,” Boozer said. “I think our team (is) a lot better than we showed tonight. We’re going to move forward.” On the bright side, Boozer said his hand wasn’t a problem. “My hand felt great,” he said. “I went up and down. The first six minutes, the game felt much faster than practice, but I settled myself down a little bit. “I think it’s a starting point and it only gets better from here.” He looked like a player who hadn’t played in a while. Tentative most of the game, Boozer finished with five points and two rebounds in 22 minutes, shooting 2 for 5 from the floor. “That is to be expected,” Thibodeau said of Boozer’s rust. “I saw some good and not so good. I like his energy. He can only get better.” The Bulls have been playing well lately, but Thibodeau wasn’t willing to chalk up the loss to Boozer’s return. “We don’t want to make any excuses,” Thibodeau said. “The way we started the game led to our demise. We gave them too many easy second-chance opportunities.” Vince Carter scored 22 points for Orlando, Brandon Bass had 17 off the bench and Nelson added nine assists. Joakim Noah led Chicago with 16 points in 25 minutes, but failed to grab a rebound. Noah entered the contest as the NBA’s second-leading rebounder with 13.2 per game. “We were not reacting the way we should,” Thibodeau said. “We have to fight a lot harder.” Noah hadn’t gone an entire game without a rebound since Dec. 27, 2008, a contest in which he played just six minutes. In games in which Noah has played eight or more minutes, he’d never gone without a rebound. “It’s frustrating,” Noah said. “That’s my job, to rebound the basketball, and I wasn’t able to do that tonight.” Derrick Rose added 15 points in 32 minutes for the Bulls and said the adjustment period should have been expected with Boozer coming into the mix. "I knew it wouldn’t be anything pretty,” he said. “When we get our connections going, I think we should be all right.” Carter scored 20 points during the first half. The Magic finished with a 44-21 edge in rebounding, a 27-13 advantage in second-chance points and outscored Chicago 46-26 in the paint. The Bulls entered the game third in the NBA in rebounding percentage. The Bulls’ 21 rebounds established a new franchise low for a single game. The previous low was 25 boards against Miami on Feb. 18, 2002. Dwight Howard scored 13 points for Orlando and grabbed 12 rebounds. “Coach has really been getting on us lately on rebounding,” Howard said. “I think we did a good job tonight boxing out and everybody hitting somebody.” The primary “somebody” that Howard hit turned out Noah. “I tried to do a pretty good job on Noah,” Howard said. “He’s playing great for one, but he’s also rebounding at a very high level.” Orlando led by as many as 25 points in the first half and it was never close from there. The fourth quarter played out with mostly with reserves on the floor, a letdown for the sellout crowd of 21,435 in Chicago’s first game at the United Center since Nov. 13. The game ended to the sound of boos. The Bulls (9-7) last played on Saturday, a 96-85 win over Sacramento that completed a seven-game road trip during which Chicago went 4-3, and should have been well rested. Instead, it was the Magic with the fresh-looking legs. The Magic played at Orlando on Tuesday and despite the short rest—and a virus going around the team that had forward Mickael Pietrus vomiting in the hallway at one point in the first half—Orlando had little trouble in raising its Eastern Conference-best record to 14-4. “For a lot of reasons I thought this was our best game of the year,” said Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy. “One of them was to take the team that’s leading in rebound margin and dominate on the glass. We’re a pretty good rebounding team.” Orlando has won five straight games overall. The Magic entered the game tied with the Boston Celtics for the best record in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls lost to Orlando 105-67 in a preseason game on Oct. 16. … Carter passed John Stockton for 37th place on the NBA’s career scoring list. Carter now has 19,714 points during his 12-plus seasons in the league. … Boozer, considered the crown jewel of the Bulls’ offseason rebuilding plan, was injured shortly before the start of the preseason schedule. He said that he fell over a bag that had been left on the floor when he rushed to answer the door of his apartment. … Magic forward Rashard Lewis(notes) left the game with a knee injury in the third quarter and did not re-enter the game, though he did return the Orlando bench to watch fourth quarter. Van Gundy said Lewis twisted his left knee and felt a bit of sharp pain, but the team trainer Keon Weise didn’t feel like the injury was serious. Lewis will be re-evaluated on Thursday.

Boston Celtics blow out Cleveland Cavaliers in a dashing match. James wore a black ski hat, thick, black eyeglass frames and a black jacket with the words, “Time to Roll” stitched into the back. He had come and gone out of this combustible cauldron, delivered a dazzling 38 points to destroy the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night. Now, the Nike reps nudged him on his way, where they always wanted him to go: for the exit in Cleveland.Still, voices called out to him now, out of his Cavaliers past, out of a yesterday that came to a crashing end this summer. “Hey LeBron,” a middle-aged arena worker offered as James passed her in the hallway. “I’m not mad at you.” He kept moving, but turned back, called her Sweetie and smiled. He was like a ghost marching back into this building, like an illusion that made everyone stop and ask themselves whether it all truly happened. He laughed and his most trusted Nike associate, Lynn Merritt – wearing a glossy, universal NBA credential – slapped James’ hands, reached his arm around James’ shoulder and whispered something funny into his ear.

Oh the misery that James had inflicted on everyone here: the Cavs, the fans and, maybe most of all, the owner Dan Gilbert. “You’re still the King!” barked an arena worker as he sidled up to James in the corridor. Still the King of Northeast Ohio, from Cleveland to Akron and back again. He had come down off the interview podium, where the Cavaliers had made their one stand of the night: No Miami Heat backdrop for the news conference, one Cleveland official insisted. Thirty minutes earlier, a seething Gilbert had left the building. So many things looked like they troubled the Cavs owner on the night of James’ triumphant return to the Q, so many things that enraged him. Gilbert had watched James move uncontested to the rim, and watched him mockingly chat with the Cavs’ bench players in the Heat’s 118-90 victory. The night had started with a standing ovation for Gilbert as he walked to his seat, and ended with a chorus of derisive chants that assailed what had been lost here as much as the assailed James, who had taken it all away. In a lot of ways, the Cleveland fans ought to be more angry with themselves than LeBron James. Yes, he never should’ve done the television show called “The Decision,” and he even suggested that was the case late Thursday on the podium. “Things could’ve been done a little differently this summer,” he said. He tried to sound empathetic of the scorned Cavaliers fans – “I understand their frustration” – but it was easy to be magnanimous when his talent so trumped their mediocrity. The bewildered, lost gaze of his late May failures against the Boston Celtics had been replaced with something of satisfaction. The Championship of Me in free agency had transformed into the Championship of Northeast Ohio, and LeBron James delivered a resounding performance borne of his MVP past: 38 points, eight rebounds and five assists. James let the hate wash down over him, let it coat him like a second skin. “Akron hates you,” they screamed over and over, but James’ smirk suggested he didn’t buy it, that he knew they were reaching too far. They never loved LeBron James here. They loved the idea of him. They made James into the ideal of what they wanted him to be, but never was: the hometown hero, the prodigy who lived to deliver them from their long, suffering sporting demons. Over time, James had cushioned Cleveland for his departure. People don’t want to believe it, but the signals were always there. The Cavaliers never did prepare fans for the possibility that he would leave, never did tell them James had stopped helping recruit free agents years ago, that he stopped returning the text messages and calls of Gilbert for weeks until that fateful July day. To watch the Cavs introduce Bernie Kosar courtside, to offer fans clips of long ago Browns and Cavs stars and teams that never won a title, was a reminder that James had been moving for the door long before last summer’s free agency.

Orlando Magic made 107-78 victory over Chicago Bulls on December 1, 2010. Jameer Nelson scored 24 points and the Magic dominated the paint and cruised to a 107-78 victory over Chicago on Wednesday night, spoiling the Bulls debut of Boozer. “We just wanted to bring a lot of intensity,” Nelson said. “Tonight we brought it from jump ball to the end.” Boozer played his first game of the season after missing all of Chicago’s preseason games plus the first 15 of the regular season after breaking the fifth metatarsal in his right hand in an accident at his home on Oct. “I knew it wouldn’t be anything pretty,” he said. Notes: The Bulls lost to Orlando 105-67 in a preseason game on Oct. … Magic forward Rashard Lewis left the game with a knee injury in the third quarter and did not re-enter the game, though he did return the Orlando bench to watch fourth quarter. Van Gundy said Lewis twisted his left knee and felt a bit of sharp pain, but the team trainer Keon Weise didn’t feel like the injury was serious. Lewis will be re-evaluated on Thursday.

Detroit Pistons beat the Miami Heat on Wednesday December 1, 2010. James scored 18 points, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade each scored 16 and the Heat rolled past the Detroit Pistons 97-72 on Wednesday night, dominating the second half with defense. James’ homecoming-of-sorts in Cleveland, the city he scorned in free agency, on Thursday night. “It’s going to be emotional for myself, going back to Cleveland to the fans that I still love to this day,” James said. “Lot of great memories, but I’ve got to try to put that in the back of my mind, understand that we’re coming in to get a win, and play hard and try to get a ‘W.” And to think Heat coach Erik Spoelstra was worried that the looming distractions of the ultra-hyped game in Cleveland would take away from Miami’s focus on Wednesday. Not a problem. “We can start thinking about tomorrow now,” Bosh said. “We did a good job just blocking it out and taking care of tonight.” It didn’t take long for the focus to finally turn to Cleveland, and the Heat made clear, this will—no surprise here—be more than just another game to them. This family, his new family, has his back and loves him truly and dearly,” Wade said. “And we want nothing but great things for him. So we’re going to try to go out there and get another win. We want to win three games in a row and it’s a special game for our brother … and we’re all going to play hard for him.” Detroit was taken care of easily. And following “The Decision” this summer in which James picked Miami on national television, now comes “The Return,” not just by him, but for former Cavs center Zydrunas Ilgauskas as well. “Tomorrow will be a very competitive, passionate game,” Spoelstra said. “And we want to take care of two of our own.” Play like this in Cleveland, and Miami might be fine. It was Miami’s second-stingiest defensive showing of the season, only bettered by holding Orlando to 70 points on Oct. 29. The Pistons shot just 36 percent, and no Detroit starter reached double figures. Miami won its second straight after a clearing-the-air team meeting in Dallas on Saturday night. “We’re starting to put it together,” James said. “After that conversation we had in Dallas, we got a lot of stuff out off our chests and we’ve been playing good basketball since then.” Juwan Howard scored 12 and Eddie House added 10 for Miami. Greg Monroe led Detroit with 15 points and Charlie Villanueva added 10. “We just played with no life,” Villanueva said. “It just wasn’t there.” It was one of Miami’s best starts of the season. The Heat made 11 of their first 14 shots, James starting 5 for 6 on his own, and never trailed.
Mario Chalmers—now fully recovered from an offseason high ankle sprain that lingered for months—had four assists in the first 4 1/2 minutes of the second quarter, three of them in a 1-minute span, and nodded or pointed knowingly to the scorer who was set up by his pass every time. But the theme throughout the evening for Miami was clearly defense. Detroit scored only nine points—matching a season low—in the third quarter, shooting 4 of 22. Wade only played 3 1/2 minutes in the third and nearly outscored the Pistons himself, getting seven points in that short stint. The Pistons’ previous season low for scoring was 78; they didn’t come close to that against a Miami team that came in allowing 94.4 points per game. “There are going to be some adjustments going into the next game. … There are going to be discussions on a number of areas,” said Pistons coach John Kuester, whose team failed to crack the 80-point mark on its two-night swing through Orlando and Miami. Detroit got 31 points from its starters, the eighth-lowest total by a Piston starting five in the last 20 seasons. The last time Detroit’s first-stringers scored fewer than 31 in a game was against Cleveland on April 16, 2008, when they combined for only 13—in a game where they only played one quarter. They were out there far longer Wednesday. Didn’t matter. Miami got to rest its starters for much of the fourth quarter, a slight respite before the challenge of Cleveland. “We will be tested tomorrow,” Spoelstra said. “Physically, emotionally, all the above.” The Heat led 54-42 at the break, and that was after just a one-point half from Wade, who played only 9 minutes before intermission because of foul trouble. His third was an offensive foul drawn by the Pistons’ Tracy McGrady—who may have been a bit of a target by Wade and James. McGrady was quoted earlier this week saying Wade and James are “two guys that don’t mix” and that “they just don’t complement each other.” Wade heard about the quotes and said he wasn’t bothered; James wasn’t aware of McGrady’s criticisms until Wade commented about them on Monday night. So maybe it was a coincidence that, on the first play of the second quarter — McGrady’s first appearance of the night—James drove right at him, drawing a foul call only 4 seconds into the period. And when Wade had the chance with 9 minutes left in the half, he went full steam ahead at McGrady as well, getting called for the offensive foul. Wade wound up scoring 15 in the second half, and he and James got to share a couple laughs on the bench as the final minutes ticked away. Now, on to Cleveland—and a scene perhaps unlike any other in James’ career. And Bosh said there’s one easy way for the Heat to help James through what awaits. “Give him the ball,” Bosh said, smiling. That’ll be fine with the two-time MVP. “I know that floor and I know my spots on that floor. I know exactly where I need to get to, where I feel comfortable on that floor,” James said. “Very comfortable with that court.” At least something will be comfortable for him on Thursday. The nine points by Detroit in the third was Miami’s best defensive quarter of the season. The Heat gave up 10 points in the third quarter against Orlando on Oct. 29. … Wade had a dunk with 7:58 left in the fourth quarter, the ball going through the net, off his knee—and rocketed toward Kuester, who caught it with ease. … The Pistons have lost six of their last seven against Miami. … James Jones had seven rebounds, his best total in a Heat uniform. … Ilgauskas, on his return: “We’re going to be on the different side of the barricades. But that’s life.”

San Antonio Spurs Vs Minnesota Timberwolves NBA Live HD quality video streaming on Friday December 3, 2010.

San Antonio Spurs was defeated by Los Angeles Clippers on December 1, 2010. Blake Griffin had 31 points and 13 rebounds, Gordon added 21 points and the Clippers ended an 18-game skid against the Spurs, beating NBA-leading San Antonio 90-85 Wednesday night. Baron Davis had seven points and 10 assists in his return from a 10-game injury absence for the Clippers, who have the league’s worst record at 4-15. They still beat a team with the NBA’s best record for the second time in 10 days, following a similarly stunning win over New Orleans late last month. Although neither team played very well in the fourth quarter, scoring 17 points apiece, the Clippers won by attrition, ending the slow-legged Spurs’ 8-0 road start to the season. George Hill scored 17 points and Manu Ginobili added 15 for the Spurs, who lost for just the second time in 16 games and dropped to 15-3 with their first road loss. Tim Duncan had just eight points, one night after posting a triple-double at Golden State.

The Spurs refused to make excuses for an ugly effort against a team that hadn’t beaten them since March 7, 2006.

“We played badly, bottom line,” Duncan said. “Nobody played well. I played awful. The ball wouldn’t go in the hole. On top of that, Blake played great, Eric played great, and they kept making shots down the stretch. … Our defense gave us a chance, and we got to that threshold where a 3-ball or any made shot would have got us right in it, and we couldn’t get the ball to go down.” Los Angeles took the lead with a 20-2 run spanning halftime and never lost the advantage despite a shaky fourth quarter that included six straight misses from the free throw line. The Clippers have won three of five after a 1-13 start during a fairly brutal November schedule compounded by the injury absence of Davis, Chris Kaman and Randy Foye. “It’s always great to give our loyal fans something great to see like this win,” Griffin said. “We have lost winnable games on the road, though, and we need to take care of that.” Davis returned after sitting out all but 10 minutes of the Clippers’ November schedule with a sore left knee. The fragile guard had missed 14 of Los Angeles’ last 15 games, but he took over in the final minutes for rookie starter Eric Bledsoe, who managed just five points. San Antonio had won nine straight over Los Angeles at Staples Center, but the Spurs clearly had little energy, making just six of their 21 shots in the final period. Duncan was held scoreless, and Richard Jefferson got just three of his 13 points in the final period. “You have to give the credit to their defense and to their energy, so I’m happy for them,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. “It’s the NBA, and anybody can beat anybody at any time.” Tony Parker had just two points on 1-for-6 shooting and sat out most of the second half for the Spurs, playing just 2:28 in the third quarter. Several celebrity news outlets reported he had lunch earlier Wednesday with his estranged actress wife, Eva Longoria, who filed for divorce last month. San Antonio led 38-30 with 5 1/2 minutes left in the first half before the Clippers roared away on an 18-2 run led by three 3-pointers by Rasual Butler and two late baskets by Griffin. The Spurs missed 14 of their last 15 shots in the first half, including nine straight while falling behind 48-40. Kaman missed his 11th straight game with a sprained ankle. The club hasn’t projected a firm return date for the former All-Star center. Foye also missed his second straight game with a strained left hamstring. … The clubs concluded their season series with their third meeting. … When Duncan fell to the court holding his foot in the second quarter after drawing a foul on an apparently clean block by DeAndre Jordan(notes), a fan near courtside screamed: “We know bad acting, Tim Duncan. This is L.A.!” … Fans near courtside included director Penny Marshall and actress Sasha Grey.

Dallas Mavericks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves on December 2, 2010. Shawn Marion scored 16 points, leading a productive effort by Dallas’ backups, and the Mavericks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 100-86 for their seventh consecutive victory. “When you step on the court, you’ve got to bring it at the same level as the starters or you’ll be back on the bench,” Marion said. “It’s that simple.” J.J. Barea scored 14 points and Jason Terry had 12 as Dallas’ reserves outscored their counterparts 59-32. Tyson Chandler had 14 rebounds in the third quarter, setting a Mavericks record for any quarter, and finished with 18 overall. Lorenzo Williams and Popeye Jones set the previous quarter mark of 12 boards, both in 1996. Chandler had only four rebounds at halftime. “I thought I had a bad first half and didn’t bring enough energy,” Chandler said. “I made some dumb fouls and Coach kind of got on me at halftime, so I wanted to come out and bring some energy and do some more out there.” The Mavericks were playing their sixth game in nine nights, and they were able to rest stars Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd and Caron Butler. Nowitzki had a season-low 10 points, the same total as Butler. Dallas has won 16 of the last 17 meetings with Minnesota. Kevin Love, the NBA’s top rebounder, had 12 points and 15 boards for the Timberwolves, who lost their fifth straight. Michael Beasley scored 16 as Minnesota fell to 1-9 on the road. At the shootaround earlier in the day, Carlisle talked about the importance of matching Minnesota’s rebounding intensity and Dallas responded with a 50-46 edge on the boards. Backup center Brendan Haywood had 10 rebounds and Marion finished with eight. “That was a point of emphasis for the game,” Carlisle said. “Everybody was focused on keeping a body on their man and knowing where Love was on the floor.” Minnesota coach Kurt Rambis said his team was hurt by 17 turnovers, leading to 20 Dallas points. “We turned the ball over way too much, particularly in the first half,” Rambis said. “And guys got discouraged. Even when it got into the 10-point range in the third quarter, our guys still had their heads down, that was a little bit of a disappointment. So, the guys are young, they’ve got to get to the point where they do little things that turn the game in their favor.” Marion’s 11 points contributed to a 33-14 first-half advantage in reserve scoring, and the Mavericks held a 55-43 edge at the break. Brian Cardinal hit back-to-back 3-pointers for Dallas over the final 2:09 of the third quarter, completing a 14-6 run and helping the Mavs to an 83-64 advantage heading into the fourth. Dallas went on to lead by as many as 24 in the final quarter. “They know how important it is to put an opponent away when they have an opportunity,” Carlisle said. Minnesota PG Jonny Flynn(notes) will report to the team’s development league affiliate in Sioux Falls, S.D., for a game on Friday as he works his way back from hip surgery. Flynn has yet to play in a game this season. He had surgery on his left hip in July and has started ramping up his workouts over the past few weeks. … Dallas F Steve Novak(notes) played in his third game this season. He was active in place of G Dominique Jones(notes), who’s playing a few games for Frisco of the D-League. … Dallas’ 55 points matched its best first half of the season.

Phoenix Suns Vs Golden State Warriors Live Streaming NBA Basketball Gamecast Internet Feed Video Broadcast Soapcast Radio coverage December 2, 2010.

Phoenix Suns defeated Denver Nuggets in their highest-scoring game in the NBA this season on November 28, 2010. J.R. Smith scored a season-high 30 points and the Nuggets overcame the absence of Anthony to hold off the Suns 138-133 Sunday night. “It was a unique game,” Nuggets coach George Karl said. “I think everybody enjoyed the game except the coach who coaches defense.” Anthony was feeling ill Friday against Chicago but still played, even hitting the winner in the final seconds. On Sunday, he lasted just 2:48 before sitting for good. Karl said he talked to Anthony before the game and his star player convinced the coach to give him the start. “He wanted to try it,” Karl said. “Melo knows how important he is, but he probably made the right decision. He didn’t look very good. He didn’t look like a healthy guy.” His teammates picked him up. Chauncey Billups returned to the lineup after missing three games with a sprained right wrist and had 25 points and eight assists for the Nuggets. Without Anthony, the Nuggets topped their previous high this season by 18 points and had their highest point total since scoring 147 in double overtime at Seattle on April 6, 2008. Jason Richardson did his best to keep Phoenix in it with 39 points, and Steve Nash had 17 points and 11 assists. Nash missed a 3-point attempt with 17.8 seconds left that would have tied the game for Phoenix, which trailed by 19 before narrowing the gap. The Nuggets were ahead 115-99 when the Suns scored nine straight to get back in it. Smith and Arron Afflalo hit 3-pointers to keep the lead at nine, but Richardson hit two from long range to cut it to five with 2:08 left. After Smith missed on a 3, Nash drained one to make it 128-125 with 1:35 left. Billups answered with a layup and Smith hit two free throws, but Richardson connected on his seventh 3 of the night to cut it to four. Smith missed two free throws with 28.9 seconds left and Nash’s three-point play with 22.5 seconds left made it 132-131. Billups hit two free throws and after Nash missed a wide-open 3-point shot that would have tied it, the Nuggets closed it out from the line. “When it was all said and done, we just had to make free throws,” Smith said. “I missed two big ones. Fortunately we had Chauncey and Arron to come in and finish it off for us.” The Nuggets weren’t happy with their defense in the final frame. The season’s previous highest-scoring game was Golden State’s 132-128 win in regulation over Houston on Oct. 27th. … Anthony’s streak of scoring in double digits ended at 134. The last time he failed to score at least 10 was against Houston on Nov. 30, 2008, when he had just two points. … Hakim Warrick replaced Hedo Turkoglu in the Suns’ lineup. Turkoglu, who started the first 16 games, finished with 13 points. … The Nuggets’ last win over Phoenix was Dec. 12, 2009.

Golden State Warriors was defeated by San Antonio Spurs on November 30, 2010. Tim Duncan had 15 points, 18 rebounds and 11 assists, Manu Ginobili added 27 points and the Spurs kept rolling along with the NBA’s best record following a 118-98 win over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. “He’s been the heart and soul of our program for a long time,” Popovich said of Duncan. “He’s Tim Duncan, that’s what he does. He’s where it all begins. After all this time, we probably take him for granted.” Duncan, who recently moved past David Robinson to become the Spurs’ career scoring leader, shot just 6 of 15 from the field but helped San Antonio’s offense keep rolling by dishing the ball to his teammates. Duncan also matched his season-high for rebounds. It’s Duncan’s first triple double since May 29, 2008 when he had 19 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists against the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals. The Spurs lost that game, which denied them a shot to defend their NBA title that year. Golden State F Ekpe Udoh, who has not played this season because of a wrist injury, was cleared for contact and worked out one-on-out with assistant coach Calbert Cheaney before the game. … The Warriors last win against the Spurs came on Jan. 7, 2008.
